EPA/ANTI-FOULING SYSTEMS
Coming onto the yachting scene, along with the EIAPP Certificates (for diesel engines) is a “Declaration of Anti-Fouling Systems” which will soon be asked for of all vessel
24 meters or greater in length
(and less than 400 gross tons), which vessels are
engaged in international waters.
The declaration states that the vessel complies with the provisions of the Anti-Fouling Convention, which regulates harmful substances in anti-fouling paints, together with proof of such compliance.
These vessel owners must now maintain the Declaration and ROAFS (Record of Anti-Fouling Systems).
